When I present dog behavior research, I can tell the wheels are spinning in the minds of audience members. My guess is, one quarter of their mind is considering the research I just shared and the other three quarters of their mind is dedicated to, "What does my dog, Smookie, do in that situation? How does Fido fit in?"
If you are a New Yorker, now you can find out where your dog fits in!
The Barnard Dog Cognition Lab, run by Dr. Alexandra Horowitz, is looking for dogs and their owners to participate in a number of behavioral studies.
Dog requirements to participate
~ Comfortable with people and dogs
~ Enjoys treats and no food allergies
How you can get involved!
1. Join our next study!
Date: Friday, June 3 **
Study duration: 15 minutes
Time: Time slots between 4 and 6:30 pm
Participants receive a “doggie-bag” of yummy treats!
Dogs in this study are asked to sit in front of a trainer for a treat. They are then asked to approach one of two trainers. We're interested in which trainer they approach! Very simple!
